Why is my computer so slow?
5 common causes — and what to do about each one.
Every time your computer starts, it loads programs in the background — many of which you never use. Fix: On Windows, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Startup tab → disable anything you don't need.
Viruses run silently in the background, using your computer's resources. A slow machine is often the first sign. Fix: Bring it in — we'll remove it completely for $120 flat.
When your hard drive is over 85% full, your computer struggles to find space to work. Fix: Delete files you don't need, empty the recycle bin, or upgrade to a larger drive.
If your computer only has 4GB of RAM, running Chrome with a few tabs can bring it to its knees. Fix: A RAM upgrade is often cheap and makes a dramatic difference. We can do this for you.
Over time computers accumulate junk files and outdated software. Fix: A professional tune-up clears all of that out — a 3–4 year old computer can feel new again.

How to tell if your laptop has a virus
Warning signs most people miss — and what to do.
Malware uses your processor and memory. If your computer slowed down suddenly for no obvious reason, a virus is a likely culprit.
Random pop-ups — especially ones warning you about viruses or asking you to call a phone number — are a major red flag. Don't call those numbers. Bring your computer to us instead.
If you notice programs launching by themselves, your homepage changed, or your cursor is moving on its own — your computer may be compromised. Disconnect from the internet and bring it in.
Ransomware encrypts your files and demands payment. If you see a message saying your files are locked, do not pay. Bring it to us — we may be able to recover your data.
Stop using the computer for banking or email, disconnect from WiFi if possible, and bring it to us. Full virus removal and system cleanup is $120 flat.

WiFi keeps dropping?
It's frustrating — but almost always fixable.
Sounds simple, but it works. Unplug your router for 30 seconds, plug it back in, wait 2 minutes. Routers accumulate small errors and a restart clears them.
WiFi signal weakens through walls and distance. If certain rooms drop, you may need a WiFi extender or a better router placement. We can help assess and fix your home's coverage.
Smart TVs, phones, tablets, laptops — they all share your bandwidth. With 10+ devices and a basic router, it may be struggling to keep up.
Routers older than 4–5 years often can't handle modern internet speeds or device counts. Upgrading can make a massive difference.
Sometimes the issue is the WiFi card or network settings on your computer. If other devices work fine but yours keeps dropping, bring it in and we'll diagnose it for free.
